Jim Detert Profile Picture

Jim Detert is a Professor in the Leadership and Organizational Behavior area at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. Prior to joining Darden, he taught at Cornell University for nine years and at Penn State for four years. Jim received his MA in sociology and PhD in organizational behavior from Harvard University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin.

Jim's research and teaching focuses on workplace courage, improvement-oriented voice (why people speak up or stay silent at work), ethical decision making and behavior, and other leadership-related topics. For more information, please visit his Darden faculty page.

Evan Bruno Profile Picture

Evan Bruno is a PhD candidate in the Leadership and Organizational Behavior area at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. His research focuses on workplace courage, cowardice, employee voice, and leadership practices and training. Evan holds an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson School of Management and a BA from Amherst College.
